Awards and press

The Recognitions page compiles some milestones and distinctions that have accompanied Antía Muíño's path—awards, selections and mentions—along with press clippings that keep track of what has been said about her work and her artistic evolution.

Where the voice leaves a mark and the word makes a memory

The recognitions she has accumulated over the years are not just a list: they are the imprint of a voice that grows based on craft, risk and truth. From a solid training - with studies that gave her technique, criteria and her own language - to constant work on stage and in the studio, Antía's path has been gaining ground: each step feeds the next, and each project leaves a discreet but firm mark. What is celebrated here today is not a one-off "success", but a trajectory that is being built with patience, care and identity.

That same identity is also reflected in the press clippings: concert reports, interviews, reviews and pieces that try to put into words what is sometimes only understood by listening. Media and journalists have highlighted his artistic universe, the way he inhabits the songs and the coherence of his speech, leaving testimonies that accompany this page like a living newspaper archive. If you want to know that story told from the outside —what is said, what is underlined, what is intuited—, here is a selection to read calmly and return to the music in a different light.

“"With a musical landscape clouded by the urgency of the mainstream and trends, it is difficult to find spaces of intimacy and vulnerability. However, Antía Muíño arrives, wraps herself in the chords of a guitar and appears in Times Square. What has happened? From the beginning, it may surprise you that Spotify has opted for a language like Galician or for a genre that moves between jazz, folk or bossa nova. However, she tells us that "in the end, I think that, yes proposal is interesting, it shouldn't matter the language in which you communicate it". It's not the language, but the intention, the quality, the feeling. We talk to her."“

The Galician Antía Muíño makes a splendid debut with this open letter and shows us a vocalist and composer of dazzling talent who moves in folklore (not only Galician, but also for tangos and other palos) singing mainly in Galician, but also in Castilian. He impregnates his songs with bossa nova airs, in 'Carta Aberta', his first and surprising single; the jazz one, with the saxophone from 'Canta, mía compañeira'. They like his more complex arrangements and with more instruments (for example in 'Terra' or 'Mar de fondo', with guitar, sax and percussions; or 'Nunha estrela', with guitar, keyboards and percussions; or in 'Alalá de Muxía' with guitar, sax and percussions), but where his talent emerges and shines is how much more naked and acoustic it is presented ('Tango de Oural' voice and percussions or 'Herba de Namorar', guitar and voice) naked).
